What a sad , sad day . Today we learned ROTS only recieved one Oscar nomination and it was for make up . Of course , the make up was great in the movie but still , the visual effects were amazing and it really should have been nominated for best motion picture , best director , and just about everyting else. And Ian McDiarmid did a great job portraying Chancellor Palpatine/ Darth Sidious and Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen were awesome as Obi-Wan and Anakin .

I've just about given up on the Oscar's , they gave Brokeback Mountain a ton of nominations and ROTS only one .They obviously don't know what they're talking about . So forget the Oscars , when they come on tv I'm gonna watch ROTS ( of course I'll be sitting there thinking , ROTS was so much better than the other movies , and other things along those lines )

ROTS did win at peoples choice awards . That must prove something , that the Oscar's certainly don't speak for everyone . And ROTS was the highest grossing movie of 05 ( oh yeah !! )

I'm quite mad about ROTS not getting many nods , but I suppose I'll get over it someday . I was really hoping ROTS would be nominated for best motion picture ( among other things) , I thought that maybe the Academy would come to its senses for the last SW movie . I'm sad to see I was wrong. Oh well , at least we know that it deserved Oscar's , even if the Academy won't admit it .

So lets forget the Academy and when the night of the Oscar's comes , just pop ROTS into the dvd player and enjoy it and all its greatness . That's what I'm gonna do .

Edit : Here is the link to where you can leave a comment saying what a rip off ROTS not being nominated for more Oscar's I left a lengthy comment of my own , yelling at them . I feel a bit better now .

P.S. Yes I know there have been several other blogs about this , but this one is in my point of view .
