Video - Bawitdaba Jedi Mix
Bawitdaba Jedi Mix

Last year, my friend Zac mentioned one drooling fanboy moment he wanted to see: Darth Maul igniting his double saber at a key moment in Kid Rock's song "Bawitdaba." I'm not a raging Kid Rock fan, but I do enjoy the power of that particular anthem.

A year passed. I recently outfitted my den with a Mac and decided to expand on my friend's idea now that all six films were available on DVD and I had the editing capability to do so. It was a labor of love. Unfortunately, YouTube squeezes my anamorphic screen into a square. I hope to remedy that soon.

Meanwhile... Enjoy. This is for the fans.

That....was....so....freakin'....AWESOME!!!!!!! :O :D

I noticed that at some key moments in the song, some of the sabers would clash and react with other weapons right in sync with the beat of the song!! AWESOME!! Keep up the good work!! :D

Maybe, sometime in the future, you could do something set to "Jedi Rock"! ;)

But, seriously, that was the best "Star Wars"-based video I've seen since "Tom Cruise Kills Oprah." :D

Not that I am the biggest fan of Kid Rock, but damn... THAT WAS AWESOME!!

I liked it when Mauls saber was synced with the bass thumps!! BOOM!! BOOM!!

And the laughing at the end!

You should enter that in the Star Wars Fan Film awards. :)

That is exactly what I was thinking! They should make a category for this sort of thing!

The Fan Film awards give merit only to wholly original works, which I respect and admire. This was just something I thought "we all wanted to see." The number-one comment I've received has been, "Hate Kid Rock, LOVE this!" so that to me is a great success. :)
