The kind assasin.
In Ep II, the scene where Obi-wan jumps on to a droid and fly through Coroscaunt after the assasination attempt on Padmé was stopped. Zam Wesell, the bountyhunter hired by Jango Fett shoots the droid, presumably to kill Obi-wan.

This makes me wonder why she didn't shoot directly at Obi-wan instead. There's no reason to think she didn't want to kill him, not even a jedi could survive a fall like that, and she couldn't possibly have calculated that he would land on Anakins speeder. Also Obi-wan is a bigger target.

It's possible that the scope on Zams sniper was designed for targeting droids, but why would an assasin carry sniper equipment not designed to target organics? I just thought this was a little strange.

I'm in the army, I've tried shooting with a sniper rifle, it's not that hard, but it's really cool, btw. However, I'm soon finished with my year of service, and I'm thinking of taking a trip to America sooner or later.
