Metallica!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I was at the Metallica concert in Oslo, Norway, along with 40 000 other Metallica fans. I entered the line to get in about 3 a clock in the afternoon. The Force wanted me to be in the front row, so there I was, even though I had to run to make it.

First on was Turbonegro, a norwegian punk-rock band (they made the intro for the Wildboyz TV-show). They got us in the mood, everybody sang "All my friends are dead". Then HIM came on, a "metal" band from Finland, and they killed the spirit of the crowd, and got booed of stage before they were finished.

One and a half hour later Metallica came on and made a hell of a show. The crowd were half sleeping because of HIM, but we suddently burst into life (in a way that scared the security) when we saw them. The first song was "Disposable Heroes" and everyone chanted DIE! DIE! DIE!, and the guards were even more shocked

Metallica played a lot of good songs like Master of Puppets, Orion, One can't mention them all.

Metallica tried to leave the stage six times or something, but the crowd demanded more. I was so close to the stage I made eyecontact with the bandmembers(and feel the heat of the pyrotechnics), but they didn't give me their guitars

However, my brother got a guitar-pick, one that James Hetfield had actually used.

This was a long blog, hope it was worth reading.

Quality blog, I'm in a Metallica covers band called the Three Horsemen (because there's 3 instead of 4 of us...honest) and we gig a lot in the Midlands here in the UK.
They are still a great band and I hope the new CD measures up the the classics of the 80's.

date Posted: Jul 11, 2007 10:01 AM Metallica Rocks...always has, always will! I've only seen them twice myself (St.Louis, MO & Austin, TX) but each time they were awesome.
