Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! |
 Wanted to wish each and every one of you season's greetings and a wonderful New Year! Whether you and your family celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or just enjoy the season and the close of the year, I hope it is all you wish for.
In New Zealand, where I am from, December is right in the middle of summer. So Christmas is nice & hot, and a great time to visit the beach and surf! We have Christmas dinner with the usual food, but some people have Christmas lunch which can include a bar-b-q. Due to the winter being June - August, there are also some companies and families in Australia and New Zealand that celebrate, in addition to the December Christmas, a "Midwinter Christmas" in June or July. This way, they can celebrate the Yuletide traditions with the corresponding cold winter weather. This would include a heavy meal with roasted meats and heavy sweets, like plum pudding and watching Christmas films and specials that take place in cold, winter weather.
My birthday is in June. So when I was growing up, it was always cold and rainy. Now that I am in California, my birthday is sunny and hot!
One more thing. I was searching around on the internet and found this great caricature of me as young Boba Fett. It is from a talented artist named Bryan Lefler. He is an artist for Disney Interactive Studios. I think it is fantastic and inspired. Now, he is not the biggest fan of young Boba (or baby Boba as he calls him) but I still think his artwork is great! Please have a look and let me know what you think.

The caricature is fantastic! I've always called you "Baby Boba" myself, so that's just cool.

Of course, Daniel, at our family celebration, it's an eating orgy from morning 'til night! My mom says we're cutting back this year. We'll see next week if that truly will be the case.
BL did a great job on the caricature.

Ain't California great!! You do know the saying is about California, don't you?...We pay what we pay to live here because of the weather. It's a crying shame.

Wow - that Boba cartoon is great!!!
Merry Christmas Daniel and all Daniel/Fett/Star Wars fans around the globe. I hope Santa brings you everything you wished for and may 2008 bring you all the luck in the world.
I'm looking forward to reading more posts from Daniel in 2008, plus more news on the live action tv series......woohooo!!!!

I am jealous. It's freezing here up in Canada. More like Hoth actually. My sports car has been replaced by a Taun-Taun.
The picture of 'Baby Boba' is bloody fantastic! The artist really captures that intense wicked look we know and love. Baby Boba is all grown up now eh. Any more news on the live action series that you can share?

Good to see you again at SFX Toronto...I was the dude getting pumbled by his sister as we passed you on the escalator. Check out this, picture if that didn't jog the memory a bit.
