Best Superman Panel Ever
And it's from Nightwing!

Here's what amounts to a throwaway moment, as Superman and Nightwing are interrupted mid-conference by a park security guard.

Yes! Of course Superman would say that! And he's not brown-nosing. Superman sees the three of them on the same side -- the side of law & order. He doesn't just tolerate the star-struck security guard, he respects him.

Big props to writer Peter Tomasi. The scan is from Nightwing #141, with art by Rags Morales

yeah that sums up Superman to a T...or is that an S?

Didnt Christopher Reeves have a similar line like that in one of his Superman films?

Something about 'we're all on the same team..."

You're right. That captures Supes perfectly.

People tend to think, in the great, timeless "Who's better, Superman or Batman?" debate, that Batman is cooler because he can overcome his human limitations and go toe-to-toe with superheroes. But people don't seem to realize that Superman has overcome a greater limitation - the limitation that absolute power corrupts absolutely. Superman, despite having godly powers, never succumbs to the nigh-infinite temptations that accompany them. He is, despite being a Kryptonian, the most down-to-earth human in the DC Universe.

Batman is who we all want to be. Superman is who we all *should* be.
