The Star Wars Atlas: Random Quotes
The manuscript for Star Wars: The Essential Atlas has survived its first round of editing! There are still more changes to be made (not to mention lots & lots of maps to make), but the book is close to 120,000 words.

A few miscellaneous quotes:

"This cradle of the early Republic became known as the Tetrahedron..."

"You'll be staring up at a matrix of neutron stars, pulsars and blue stragglers the Zeku call the Cosm's Well."

"...the blind berserkers of the Unknown Regions' Leech Legion."

"Spacers often emerged blind, nauseous, and with their nerves firing uncontrollably from just a few months in suspended animation."

"The Kymoodon Era began circa..."

"To enhance your enjoyment of tonight's program, a summary of the plot follows, with major recitatives and arias indicated. Translations from Old Brentaal will be provided on datapad channel 271."

"The Kymoodon Era began circa..." Circa what? When did it begin? C'mon, GIVE!

Which brings up an interesting question: will this book try to nail down just how many eras there have been, what their ranges are on the calendar, and all their names? Great Manifest, Rianitus, Manderon, and all the rest? Inquiring minds wanna know! :)

Sounds like me during a migraine.

What's sad is, I think I "get" almost half of those.

More on the Kallea Cycle? If you hadn't hooked me already, that'd do the job.

Man o man o man, that sounds great!!! This will be the best book since the New Essential Chronology! Any chance of a hardcover edition?

I was sorry to hear that the release date of book was moved to 2009 (is it really?) but I believe it will be well worth! This could be one of the best sourcebooks ever.
