I've never been a big Vader fan. Mildly curious, yeah, but not all that intrigued or attached to the character. Not so into the whole 'It's all about Anakin' thing, because his story was told and ended and what's the point? So I was fine with the basic outline of the past we got in the OT, and my prequel apathy has served me well with the not-always-stellar Jake Lloyd/Hayden Christensen versions. Meh.

But if you aren't reading The Darth Side, you really need to be.

This blog is just fantastic. Insight into Vader with humor (Hilarious. Utterly hilarious, something missing from every holier-than-thou Vader fic I've even glanced at.) and great writing and even the Padme bits don't make me roll my eyes in disgust, which is such a huge triumph I can't even begin to lavish praise on it.

Is it fanfic, in blog form? Yes. First person fanfic no less, which I generally despise. But it's best damn Vaderfic I've ever read. ROTS might not make me cry, but this has definitly brought a bit of a tear. Hell, If I start crying at ROTJ it's ALL CHEESEBURGER'S FAULT. And it takes some damn good writing to do that amid all the Ewok slaughtering and silly Jedi bits.
