Uh-oh
I haven't updated since July?

Well. Um. Hi.

Uh....

Club Jade has certainly undergone some changes since my last entry. For one, still doing entries on the weekend, made easier by the magic of WORDPRESS. Yup, finally upgraded the thing. Before were using a version of Movable Type from like 2003. High tech!

I love Wordpress. I can write entries whenever, and schedule them. So my 4am stuff can go up at 8am, or 10am, instead of when all the normal people are sleeping. I can do a whole weekend worth of stuff in an hour. It's wonderful.

Last weekend I added a poll plugin. Currently running (until midnight) is What are you most looking forward to in 2008?. (Indy IV is winning.) At 12:01, it should change over to a Revelation one.

Speaking of, I finished Revelation. My thoughts are hovering somewhere between "It was okay." and "Meh." Had some moments. Too much Mando stuff for my tastes, though at least it's finally paying into the A-plot. Still, I'd rather the Mandos kept to their own novels, as their appeal remains a mystery to me.

As for the really big surprise (not the 'revelation,' we all know that's not a real surprise for anyone) of the book - I'll try not to spoil it - I found it odd and kind of hilarious and totally out of left field and I couldn't really buy it, or at least the portrayal of it, because... That's not who that is. Ahh well. The wonderful world of retcons!

I hope I'm not featured blog for the whole weekend, because I'm out of things to say and I'm not about to start ranting on highway closures here.

So far, I've thought their inclusion totally irrelevant, skipped over most of it.

I'm with you there.... I haven't like any of Travis's books, with the exception of "Sacrifice" but I skimmed through most of the Mando stuff in that one...
