Nineteen Hours of Star Wars.
Last fall about a month after the DVD release of Episode 3 the first thought I had (even before going to walmart dressed in a darth vader mask and my roomie in stormtrooper armor) was now I have the ability to watch the entire Saga in one sitting. So I tried to gather as many people at my school to join in on the festivities, though I was the only to survive all 6 films including volume 1 of Clone Wars(volume 2 hadn't been released yet). But watching Star Wars from Noon to 3AM is definately an out of body experience, It ws a huge blur. The thing that surprised the most is how much the DVD release of the OT vissually blends with the PT. I've heard many people complain about chnages made in the OT, and you know in some cases i might agree ::cough:: Greedo::cough:: But though i noticed how amazing the DVD's of the OT looked when it was released, but I didn't truly understand it until watching all the films in one large clump. I was also noticing other story details because of this. For instance the line from Yoda saying..."Don't underestimate the power of the Emperor...". There was suddeny a jolt of understanding seeing how I just watched Yoda fight him 6 or so hours before. And that's just a taste of things I discovered or felt durring my 19 hours of bliss. One of these days I need to do it again, and with people who can last 19 hours. I was surrounded by a bunch of weaklings...
