Summary
Set in the heart of the depression
Cinderella Man is a story of a man who made the most impossible comeback in history. Jim Braddock is a top-of-the-line boxer who is slowly dying out of the big game. He breaks his hand in one fight but doesn't tell hi manager Joe Gould. IN the next fight he fought so embarrasingly that the league revoked his license.
Once a rich man, Jimmy Braddock now works at thr ship yard in north Jersey whilw living in a very small apartment. He has three children Jay, Howard, and Rosemary.
At the ship yard, only about six people are picked each day and Jimmy will never get picked with his broken hand. He covers it up with shoe polish and he gets picked. Now he's working with his left hand (he's a righty) and building up strength. Joe Gould comes to him and says he could get one more fight. Jimmy knocks the guy out in about the third round. This is all due to the fact that his jab is much more powerful than it has ever been.
Now Joe could get him a few more fights, and after whoppi'n more boxers Jimmy has a shot at the World Heavy weight title. The reighning champ is Max Baer. A jerk. He has killed two men in the boxing ring and whenevre he and Jimmy are in a press conference together he acts like they've been best friends forever.
I'm not gonna tell you what happens in the final fight because my heart was racing, and I want you to experiance it for yourself.

Review
Wow! WOw! WOW!!! This is
the best boxing movie I have ever seen. I am a long time
Rocky fan and did not know how much I would like this as compared to
Rocky, but boy, oh boy.
Many parts of the plot seem outrageous and if someone wrote them in a fictional story nobody would beleive somebody would do something lke that. But, since it's based on a true story, it is
all real.
Russell Crowe and Paul Giamatti
will win the Oscars. Russell for best actor, and Paul for best supporting actor. Paul Giamatti has given the best performace OF HIS CAREER!
When interviewed about making the movie Ron Howard stated that he really didn't want to do it because he could not film boxing scenes, but he did a great job. He used different angles which made all the fights different. For some he started with the camers in the ring and slowly zoomed out through the course of the fight. Other he started out and zoomed in. One he kept the camera close up almost like it was constantly in zoom the whole tome. Another he kept it zoomed out.

When four penguins try to escape to Antarctica Marty gets the idea that he can escape to Cennecticut by taking a train from Grand Central Station. His three friends try to follow him and stop him, but all four of thm are stopped by the police.
The media says the animals should not live in captivity and it is driving them carzy. Finally the four of them are shipped off to Afica in four separate crates. When they wake up in the boxes on a ship Alex starts to get mad because he loves thepampered life and knocks their boxes out ino the ovean. All the while the four penguins are infiltaring the boat Janes Bond style and turn the ship around to Anatarctica.
The four friends wake up and find themselves on Madagascar. They venture into the island and find a pack of Lemurs. The king Julian is stupid, well, they all are. They are constantly attacked by hyena-like craetures called "Foosa". The king has a plan to make Alex their friend so he can pritaect them from the Foosa.
All the while Alex can't find anything to eat, he's a carnivore, and is starting to see his friends as T-bone steaks. He eventuallt gets so hungry he traps himself in Foosa terriotry so as not to eat his friends.
The Penguins hate Antarctica and decide to come to Madagascar where it is warmer. Melman and Gloria fllag down the boat while Marty goes to look for Alex. They are attacked by the Foosa but the Lemurs and the four friends fight back the Foosa.
It ends with the four friends about to go back to New York on the ship. It then cuts to a shot of the Penguins. One of them asks if they should let the four friends know that there is no fuel left on the ship. The lead Penguin replies by saying,"No, just smile and wave".

Review
The movie started out with hope and the introduction of the characters at the zoo and what they doo when kids come on fieldtrips is enjoyable. Once the four get strranded the movie starts to get over the top silly and most of it is boring. I went to see it with two of my friends and both of them agrred with me that there was no point and it was a waste of money.
If you are a true New Yorker and just love Zoo animals you might want to see it for the animals and the New York rules jokes. Your kids might want to see it and if they do try to sit in the back of the theater with a book and a flash light. Other wise find something else to watch.
