Okay something struck me today when I was reading someone else's blog.
So General Grievous was taught lightsaber techniques by Dooku, we all
know that (and how come everyone calls him Dooku and never Tyranus?)
We see that while he can swing the lightsabers pretty well, he's no match
for Obi-Wan in ROTS. Obi makes him look kind of silly actually, slicing off
his hands with ease. So why was he able to kill so many other Jedi? Even
if he was great with a lightsaber, shouldn't someone who has the Force as
his ally be able to ALWAYS best a "regular joe"? I don't think the Clone Wars
cartoons make much sense in light of how easily Obi Wan was able to
defeat Grievous in the movie. In the cartoons, Grievous is seen easily
dispatching numerous Jedi. Now I know that Obi is the hero and he can't
lose, but still, it just seems like any Jedi worth his salt should have been
more than a match for a cyborg who knows how to use a lightsaber. Thoughts?
