Okay here's a question to ponder. Why is it that nobody in the prequel trilogy calls Count Dooku "Darth Tyranus", except for that one scene at the end of AOTC when Sidious refers to him by his Sith title? I know that to the masses, he's just Count Dooku, but obviously General Grievous knows of his Sith title, since Sidious talks to Grievous about the death of his apprentice in ROTS. So why is it that even Grievous just calls him Dooku?
Perhaps Sidious just wanted to keep in isolation both him and his apprentice until all was fully revealed. If a Darth name were to be revealed it would certainly cast a light towards them, and Sidious was quite keen not to be revealed until the time was right. And perhaps Dooku didn't want to be publicly known with a Darth name. He had been an esteemed Jedi for so long before that.
Curious. But remember, Jango refered to Dooku as Tyranus when he told Obi-Wan who hired him to be the template for the clones. Maybe Grievous didn't know his Sith title.

For Dooku to have been known publicly as Darth Tyrannus would have brought to many peoples minds the idea of the Sith and what they were professed to have stood for. I dare say General Grievous was 'instructed' by Sidious to only ever refer to Tyrannus as Dooku. this way, there would be some measure of public support for the Seperatist Cause.
