Okay folks, I have wondered about this for years, yet have never seen the question asked in any forum. Has there ever been an official explanation as to why the pronunciation of Han Solo's first name was changed mid-way through ESB? For those who may not have ever noticed, the pronunciation changed from rhyming with "Khan" to rhyming with "Can".

Any ideas/official explanations? Oh, and at some point during ROTJ, the pronunciation switches back. Strange!!!
