Hey I was wondering when Palpatine said that Plagueis had the knowledge to save people from dying.Could it be that the power was force heal.Because that power can save a person from dying also.And if that was the case was it really a secret.Or did he say it was a secret because its more of a Jedi power then of a Sith.So could someone assume that Palpatine had that knowledge also and just never used it.Did he pretend that he didnt know what it was so that he could seduce Anakin???Well thats kind of a dumb question.A thought anyone

date Posted: Mar 29, 2007 12:37 PM Well, force healing can stop people from dying. It only heal wounds. Palpatine was talking about the power to have complete control over midi-chlorians. To not only stop people from dying, but to create life.

I think Palpatine did, indeed, know the 'secret'... of force-healing... or however it might be called. Preserve life, stop death, ect...

It looked like he used it on Vader when he was laying, near death, on Mustafar.

I mean what was that sweet, gentle, loving/caring looking display when he bent down next to the shattered Vader and placed his hand on him?

It looked like something you might see a man do when he approaches his beloved pet dog who has been mortaly wounded somehow right??

date Posted: Mar 30, 2007 12:25 AM Which is how I believe he saw Vader... as a beloved pet dog. Yea he cared about him to that limited extent in his evil way. Of course when a younger, faster, healthier dog finaly comes along (Luke)... the idea of "trading up" is certainly not a bad thing

No it had nothing to do with the force heal technique, guess you REALLY have to think outside the box on this one.....look at how old Palpatine would be at Return of the Jedi....

There was a secret to cheating death.....its called if i live forever i don't have to worry about my apprentice getting the drop on me because i am getting "older"....look at how he treated Vader when he saw a new potential Sith apprentice....

And i still can't believe how stupid the Jedi were, "bring balance to the force...?" He did.....!!!! You can't have a whole lot of light without a whole lot of dark. So yes, he did bring balance.....
