Ok, I have been thinking about this ever since Jacen Solo decided that he was going to try and shoot down his parents. This could be the end of one of the galaxy's most known and in some cases beloved family.

It seems that it all started back in the very first book of the NJO, Vector Prime. It was not so much Chewbacca's death but the impact that it is having on Anakin and on Han. They were slowly drifting away from each other, Jacen was just trying to figure out how he could serve the force best, Jaina is now a memer of Rouge Squadron, and Leia off figthing political wars. The entire family is seperated, moving in different directions. Then what happens? Anakin gets killed and Jacen is taken by the Vong. Now Han has lost another person in his family but this time it is one of his SONS.

Now let's fast forward into LOTF, Jacen is going completely evil like and he has a daughter. Only problem with that is the daughter can never take the last name of Jacen, even if she did she would marry some guy and take his last name, if last names were an issue here.

What I am trying to say here is that the name Solo will be lost forever because if Jaina gets married, she will take the last name of her spouse and Jacen is not likely to produce a son anytime soon. Han and Leia have to die sometime, and their only other son is dead. It almost seems like the NJO until now has been one long story line to destroy the Solo family.
