Outbound Flight: The Force was with me
Ever since I started reading novels I had always wanted to read every Star Wars novel. I've read a few that I got from the Memphis library and some that I had at home, but most of the ones I got I havn't read.

If I go to bookstores like Barnes and Nobles and/or Borders than I immediatly go to the SW books and browse around until I find a book I had been wanting. I'll buy it if I have the cash and start reading unless I'm already on a different book. Now lets get on with the story.

A few months ago, I heard about the SW book Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn. I really wanted to get it because I was always interested in the story of Outbound Flight and how it showed a villain who will cause chaos for Luke and co. in the future. It ended up being like 30-35 bucks! Which I really didn't have the cash for it at that point. I would ask for it for my birthday or something but I didn't get. I guess I didn't beg enough! Just kidding mom and Neal.

Well, I'm fascinated with antiques(as some of you know if you read one of my earlier blogs about the five gold Star Wars coins)and so one day while with my Grandmother she said that we could go to the antique store down the road for awhile. An hour later I was looking around and found all sorts of stuff like TN Vols flags, a PS2 controller of my favorite color green and a bunch of other stuff. We got hungry and took an hour break of antique shopping and went to the pizza place just beside the shop. When we returned to the shop I started to look some more. I found a couple of SW stuff which is one of the reasons I wanted to go so bad, but for the next hour I didn't find squawt!

I started to give up hope when I was headed back to the cashier to buy my goodies when I just happened to glance at my left for some strange reason, and there in front of my eyes was a room down a long hallway of antiques filled with DVDs and tapes. I told my Grandmother to wait just a minute then ran toward the room and stopped in front of the movies. I started the scan the shelves for a good movie until I saw the books. I started to look for a good book, especially a Star Wars one. I started to give up hope of finding one when my Grandmother urged me to hurry up, but then as I turned to leave I saw a blue hardback book titled Star Wars Outbound Flight! I couldn't believe that I found a SW book right when I was about to go, and the exact one that I wanted! When I picked it up I got to thinking about the price. I started to wonder whether it would be the same as it was at the bookstores or supercheap. I prayed that it would be cheap so hard. I turned the book over and my prayer was answered! It was $3.50!!! I then started to wonder whether it was damaged or marked on. The front looked pretty good, so I checked the inside, flipping through every single page as fast as I could. There was no markings anywhere in the entire book! At last, I thought to myself, at last.

My Grandmother bought it and it rests peacefully on my bookshelf waiting to be read. And let me tell you I'm going to read it.

May the Force be with You!!!

(The picture was the best I could find, but its got a ships veiwpoint and there were Jedi on the Outbound Flight project.)
