ROTS was mostly a cartoon with no acting in it whatsoever..
"As someone who has been trained as an actor, I can actually tell you that the acting in the Star Wars films is highly underrated, and not recognized for the artistic background which inspired it. It's
melodrama, not high drama. You know, like an opera. Which also explains the score.
But you know, it only took twenty years for people to realize that Mark Hamill was a good actor. I'm sure that it will take everyone just as long to realize the same about Hayden Christensen. You may not have agreed with the choices the actor made because of some pre-conceived notion of the character that you had, but that does not mean he is not a skilled actor. It means you don't understand the intricacies of acting.
Frankly I'm disappointed by the fact that people have lost the ability to fairly and accurately
critique things, as opposed to simply finding things to
criticize. As much as I loved
Batman Begins, it has a laundry list of complaints attached to it if I want to really go on the attack. Instead, I sit back and enjoy my time in the darkened theatre, without leaning to my friend and saying things like "That's different from the comics" or "Frodo didn't do that in the book.
People seem almost incapable of cutting Star Wars the same type of slack. Is that because we've been so inundated with the hype for the last thirty years that we lost sight of what the real charm of the series is?
....once, just once, I would like to love my latest Star Wars movie without someone taking issue with it." -

[The charge that
Revenge of the Sith is like a cartoon is so silly as to not merit a serious reply. KJ's response as usual gets to the heart of the matter -
