Ok OK! Not a
Star Wars related entry. I hate to do that. Bear with me...
This is not a review, it's a link to a review that says what I could not express in words about the
Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe movie.
Background: I grew up with this book. When I was a kid, perhaps pre-
Star Wars (not sure) I read it and fell in love with Narnia. I re-read the whole 7 book series this past summer, and it was so magical. I ate those books up, and felt like such a wide-eyed kid.
I kept reading about how faithful this movie was going to be, and it is...for the most part...and yet...I was so bothered by much of it I found myself stuttering to describe how I felt about it.
I felt really conflicted...
And then I read
this review by Steven D. Greydanus and he took my stuttering and gave it coherence.

It's how I felt about the movie, exactly.
Read this especially if you are very familiar with Lewis' book. Spoilers abound.
