Stupid Arthritus!!!
Okay, this is one of those blogs about things that you shouldn't notice however you still do.

Location: Palpatine's office.
Time: Episode Three

Palpatine and Mace Windu are fighting. Palpatine tries to shock Mace and he deflects the blast with his saber. The lightning bounces off and hits Palpatine. Palpatine face turns wrinkly and stuff.

Location: Imperial Chamber
Time: Episode Six

Luke is standing over his defeated father and Palpatine tries to turn him to the dark side. Luke rejects and gets shocked. He doesn't get any physical damage.

My question, why didn't Luke turn wrinkly if Palpatine did?

My theories, maybe Luke was somewhat immune to the blast, I mean he was the man who brought peace to the galaxy.

Somehow Mace's lightsaber acted as a magnifying glass and doubled the power of the lightning.

Was Palpatine getting a little shabby and well, old? If I was his age had all the power of the galaxy I would't want to be fighting Jedi.

Please don't tell me faces melt because of the dark side because it isn't true.
