9/11. A Mandalorian never forgets. |
Mando'ad draar digu.
I will never forget this day. Five years have passed. So soon. This day, 9/11, seems to go by the slowest. Tho it's already 12 Sept here in NZ, I stop for a moment, before I begin my work day & remember those whose work days finished in death before it even began.
To the firefighters & police of NYC, I remember you all for your bravery & the pain suffered for comrades lost.
To everyone who survived, either having Been There-Suffered That, or being a family member, friend, spouse, partner, etc, to someone lost in both towers, the Pentagon, and/or Flight 93, I remember this day with you.
As a former veteran of the US Air Force, I was horrified not only by the attack on the World Trade Center, but the Pentagon as well. As it went, I lost one mate in that hit. Not fun. ((trust me, once a veteran, forever a warrior))
This is a day everyone across the world should remember, at least for a minute or two. To stop and think how this one act changed the world. They say that not only did a lot of Americans lose thier lives on 9/11, but at least one person from all UN represented countries was lost as well. ((3 New Zealanders died when the towers came down)). That makes 9/11 a World Day & terrorism a World Problem. ((I certainly don't complain about the queues (waiting lines) at the airports, nor all the new security stuff in place. I want a safe flight when coming back to visit family))
God Bless America & all of U SW fans reading this!
Thanks for reading my ventings.
Cheers, mates!
