My part in Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed |
I was interviewed for Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed, which will air on the History Channel at the end of May and will be released on DVD probably in Fall. The DVD is two hours, but the show on the History Channel is only an hour and a half (plus 30 minutes of beer and car commercials). I found out the other day that the half hour that was set aside for Miller and Hyundai includes the bits I was in. It's pretty disappointing to not be in the big show everyone will see. And I must say I'm not excited about getting bumped for Newt Gingrich and Nancy Pelosi (although I guess Newt deserves credit for providing a certain Viceroy of the Trade Federation his name; him and Ronald Reagan, that is).
Nonetheless, I am deeply grateful just to be part of the production. The official letter that requested my participation was cc'd to George Lucas and I was told (though I can't confirm) that he personally approved my selection. Quite an honor and a thrill for a regular ol' guy who has obsessed over Star Wars since he was three years old.
So, if you're interested in what a fellow Star Wars fan thinks and maybe would like to know more about Zen and Yoda and stuff like that, check out the DVD. Unfortunately, you won't get to see that ubiquitous Verizon guy, but you will get a lot more meaningful content.
