 | Can it be true?? |
Ok, I got my Insider today, and I was reading through it, and I came across this:
(Quote)Q: I saw the Episode III deleted scene where General Grievous kills Shaak Ti. But I know that this did not actually happen. In Insider #85, someone wrote in that Anakin killed Shaak Ti. Is this true? Shaak Ti is my favorite characterm and I would like the know how she really died.
-Zakk Coss, via Internet
A: The full story of Shaak Ti's on-again off-again death scene can be found here: http://www.starwars.com/databank/characters/shaakti/?id=bts
The bottum line is that neither Anakin nor Grievous is responsible for her death because both those scenes were cut from the film. I'll go even one step further for all you Shaak Ti fans and offer a glimmer of hope: There's no solid reason to believe she's dead at all.(End Quote)
Now, I've always believed she was alive, and everyone's been telling me she's dead (cept a few people who believe the same as me). Now, I am a hardcore Shaak fan, lol. And I keep defending her that she's alive, and everyone keeps saying things like, "She's dead, face it." "Why do you like Shaak so much? She's a n00b." Ect ect. And it's really starting to tick me off, lol. But now that I read this, I have more stuff to defend her with! But seriously now, is she alive? I know in my heart that she is, but there's a part of me that still wonders...
Comments, please.
P.S.
All posts that have anything to do with "Why do you like Shaak so much" ect, WILL BE DELETED!

I love Shaak Ti (Your link doesnt work BTW). The databank entry ends with:
"Shaak Ti was believed to be killed in the onslaught."
Let your imagination do with that what it will (but dont fight over opposing ideas!).

Supposedly, the scene in which she is killed by Anakin while meditating was deleted because it would be illogical that while meditating she didn't feel the situation of what was happening at the Jedi Temple.
According to the Databank, she was "believed to be killed" in the temple assault, but her death hasn't been established yet. Her seat in the Jedi Council was going to be replaced by Tsui Choi.

You just hold on to that hope that she's a survivor of Order 66 and the destruction of the Jedi, I'm a simple Jedi fan, and Shaak Ti was one of my favourites, along with Aayla, Quinlan Vos, K'krukh and Zao, to name but a few. We know for sure that Aayla's dead, and that Quin survived. No reason why Shaak Ti could not be among those hiding away from the Jedi 'purge'.
However, unless an official LFL medium decides to bring her (and the others) back, its up to your imagination to tell the tale of her survival. As Aayla Secura herself once said: "Masters, if there is no death, only the Force, is it wrong to feel grief when someone dies?"
'Nuff said.

Shaak TI is cool. Always been one of my favorites on teh jedi council. I was upset when I first heard Greivous kills her. THen that Anakin kills her. And it seems she gets the last laugh and surivives the initial purge of killings. (Even Amy Allen thought her character was going to make it). Hopefulluy she'll be a regular character in Star Wars live action show and will only die in the last episode.

That's exactly what I want, lol.
Also, I heard she's gonna be in Last of the Jedi 5 or something like that... is that true?

I hate to say it, but that was true. I found out in an Episode 3 Set Diary that they shot a scene when she was at the temple and was ruthlessly slaughtered by Vader. So it was true. But don't feel bad. I didn't like it when I heard that either. She is my #1 favorite female Jedi(that's something we have in common). If you read her databank and go to the "Behind the Scenes" page and read it, you'll find out she was killed. Even check out the set diary. It is titled "The Cruel Fate of Shaak Ti." You'll see that she was killed.

I read somewhere that George Lucas decided that she did survive "Order 66." I know she makes an appearance in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, which is set between episodes III and IV. That gives us all hope, unless you fight her is a flashback or during a hallucination. Of course all of this could be, and looks like it is, non-canon.
