A Lot of Limericks and Nonsense

New Dance Craze

For over 15 years, I have been in the mobile DJ industry. I have owned my own company since 2000 and have specialized in weddings - they are my favorite of ALL jobs. I think it's because you're witnessing a new beginning - unconditional love at its finest.

Anyway, my background in music - I was also a music major in college - tends to color almost every part of my life, so I thought I'd tee off Friday a little early with an homage to one of my online mentors: The Stooge. After all, it's his blog that got me started in writing Star Wars limericks.

Hickory-Dickory Dock,
Salacious Crumb can Rock!
So catch the wave
Called the "Monkey-Lizard Rave."
Don't veg' like a Hutt on a block!

Funny, I used to do the Wedding Video side of things. Got to know a lot of DJs like yourself. I had one wedding where I walked in (camera rolling) on the groom and the maid of honor. They did not hear me so I quickly exited the room. I really did not know what to do. Should I tell someone, should I not? Well, I didn't, but I did put the footage on the DVD. It was a hidden chapter that could be accessed with a certain number of button pushes. They hadn't seen it 2 years later when I gave them all he raw footage. If it is seen, it's meant to be. I guess. Stillbattle that one and it's been several years ago.

I've been in the industry over 15 years, and I hate to say it, but that's pretty tame compared to some of the situations I've seen/heard about. In fact, I could probably create a whole new blog about all those experiences. EXTREMELY eye-opening, I must say.
