Rowling Stinks
J.K. Rowling is a silly goose. Why, after the release of the final book in her epic Harry Potter series, would she decide that it's relevant to add new information to the story? If anything, she's being self serving in an attempt to make herself look like she cares about gay rights. If she really cared, book 6 would have ended with an autopsy report revealing that Dumbledore had a rainbow cod piece on at the time of death. Book 7 would then have gone into some more spicy revelations regarding Voldemort's secret intentions for Harry.

I should really write fan fiction.

J.K. Rowling telling the world that her headmaster character is gay is about as irrelevant as her holding a press conference to tell the horde's of Potter Fans that Crookshanks falls victim to an unfortunate stage coach accident in Diagon Alley 5 years after Book 7. Nobody cares.

Gay/not gay really has no relevance, I agree, but she says that she has been asked that question SO many times that she thought it was time to address it. Press conference material...not at all.....but it got people talking about Harry again. Press talk really died out rather quickly after book 7 was released and I think this was a way of getting the talking going again.

That and she may write an 8th book in 10 years...maybe.

Here's how she could have addressed it "Who cares? It's not part of the story!" If she only did this to get people talking about Harry, then she's a self serving attention seeking whore. "Oh, my husband left me! Oh, the magic wands and the wizards! oooo!"

Hi there!

I couldn't agree with you more... I actually had no idea when I was reading the books nor did I even care to think about Dumbledore's orientation...

I was more involved in the actual story.

I think this release was a mistake on her part... she doesn't need the publicity - she already gets enough of that!

J.K. Rowling is a silly goose.

Careful. Saying things like this may get you into trouble... but then again, she's not a SW author, so I guess it really doesn't matter...

You know what's even sillier? Releasing seven copies of "The Tales of Beetle the Bard."
