The Islamic situation
This isn't Star Wars related at all, but since there are so many people around the world who read these blogs, I'll post this here.

I assume most of you have heard about the tense situation between Norway, Denmark and the Muslim world. For those who haven't got a clue as to what I'm talking about, here's a brief summary:
A danish author, who was making a childrens book about different religions, needed a picture of the Islamic prophet Muhammed, and petitioned for drawings from danish artists. Some of the drawings he recieved caricatured Muhammed as a terrorist with bombs and knives. Unfortunatly, these drawings were published in a danish newspaper, and a few days later in a norwegian christian magazine.

Now don't get wrong here, I don't condone the publication of these pictures, but what has happened because of them has gone completely beyond all proportions.
Understandably, this has made a lot of Muslims pretty upset. Quite a few (extremist) religious leaders has encouraged the destruction of norwegian and danish property, as well as killing any norwegians and danes. Demonstrations in Afghanistan have even forced norwegian soldiers to open fire, (in self defense), on a raging, angry mob.

The aformentioned religious leaders have demanded that the norwegian government apologise for "this insolence".
I will not apologise for this publication on behalf of anyone, and I won't defend those who did, but I feel I must point out that both Norway and Denmark have a total freedom of press. The sole resposibility of what gets published lies with the chief editor. You can not expect the government to take resposibility of what is published in any publication.

With that I've reached the main point of this blog: If there are any who hold any recentment towards Norway or Denmark because of our socalled hatred of Islam; don't! As I've already pointed out, if there are anyone to be angry of, it's the chief editors. (Who have kind of apologised in a perfect way)

If there's anyone with a thought to share, I'd love to hear it.

I'll end with a quote from one of my favourite bloggers; Rex, this one's for you:
Happy blogging, and keep the peace my friends.
