Here we are, al alone for the time being. We are reaching near 5:00 in the moring over here in the badlands of the Deep South, and here is the only man crazy enough to write at this time.
We will start with everyones fovorite,a few theories on Anakin.
We all hear the questions in our head (at leas I do) wondering what caused Anakin's demise, and what things, had they been done differently, could have prevented it. I will present a question, and then attempt to answer it.
What would have happened if Qui Gon had not died in the Theed power generator?
I beleive that Qui Gon would have returned to Coruscant with Anakin and Obi Wan and requested, again, to have Anakin trained. Of course, Qui Gon would not have been able to train Anakin. It is also likely, that since Obi had made no promis to Qui Gon To train the boy, that Anakin would have ended up being trained by some other Jedi, maybe even Ki Adi Mundi. It would make sense, seeing as Ki is the only Jedi on the council without an apprentice.
Without having to suffer from the death his father figure (Qui Gon), Anakin would not have been racked by greif, therefor having no need for Padme as a void filler.
Another question to answer would be; what would happen if Anakin was able to rescue Shmi before she died?
The first obvious side effect would be that Anakin would not have murdered the SandPeople. Without this heinous act on his concience, Anakin would have had a smaller prediposition toward the dark side. A second thing affected would be Anakin's relationship with Padme: I am convinced that she would accept Anakin almost immidiately after Shmi's safe return.
Having secured his mothers life, Anakin would then turn towards his duty as a Jedi, and try to rescue Obi Wan on Geonosis. During his battle with Dooku, Anakin would lose his arm and find comfort in those of his mother and Padme. Once Anakin had his arm replaced he would go back to Coruscant and help the Jedi fight evil. Now, with the void of his mother filled again, Anakin would have been far less vulnerable to Sidious's plots and attacks, and making it almost certain that he would stay a Jedi.
What would have happened if Anakin, having none of the changes stated above, had defeated Obi Wan?
It is entirely possible that Anakin would have left Mustafar in a furoius rage. Using the anger from killing his former master, Anakin would have launched an extremely powerful attack on Sidious; one of like of which no one had ever seen.
Anakin would defeat Sidious and take control of the empire. Once his rein was fully cemented, Anakin would seek out and destroy Yoda and Obi Wan, and bring a swift end to the noble Jedi Order.
For the last question. Who or what created Anakin?
In my opinion, which seems to follow that of many others, Anakin was created by Darth Plagueis using some sort of midichlorian manipulation power. Anyway, here it goes. long ago Darth Plagueis decided that he would destroy the Jedi once and for all by creating a boy entirely from mdichlorians. Plagueis knew that the Jedi, who were obsessed with bringing balance to the force, would see this boy as a chosen one, and bring him up in their ranks. However, Plagueis knew that in order to plant the seeds of evil in this boy, he would have to give him a hard life. So, plagueis decided to make this boy a slave, the perfect environment for breeding contempt and hatred. The Dark lord knew that the boy (Anakin) would have to be seperated from his mother, therefor making a void in the boy's life that could be filled with fear and anger. This boy however, brought about the demise of the Sith, as well as the demise, and rebirth, of the Jedi order. So, in reality, Darth Plagueis probably brought about the very thing he didn't want; the balance of the force. Of course, this is just a personal theory, and opinion.
