A Thought or Two On the Force.
We all know of the Force. We all talk about the Force. But what is the Force? Certainly I would (if I was not going to answer it myself) get many an answer. References would probably be made to Old Kenobi calling it an Energy Field that binds the galaxy together. Or perhaps even get a totally imaginative answer.

My answer however will sound very much like Kenobis'. The Force is an energy field that runs through us and binds all of the Galaxy together.

Yoda makes the reference that "The Force surrounds us, luminous beings are we, not this crude matter." If this is true, then every being in the GALAXY is bound to the force. But what exactly does that say for the other galaxy?

My(theoretical) answer to the above question is relatively simple. After reading Vector Prime I noticed something; the Yuzhann Vong are outside of the force. This notion brought me back to the Quote of Obi Wan, especially where he states that it binds the galaxy together. This brought it to my mind that the Force does'nt exist in the same way that it does in the one seen in the Films.

Okay, that's one question gone, but I'm not done yet. Another query that has been posted (quite a few times I might add) is what makes up the Force?

Now, this question can be answered with relative ease. The Force is made up of all the beings in the Galaxy. An easy enough answer. But this would'nt be a thought provoking blog if there was'nt a question to this answer.

There is a hole in the the theory stated above. We all have thought that the force created the SW universe. This means that if there was no life, then the force would not exist. Here is the hole I described. How did the force create life if there was no life to support it? An interseting question. One that I don't think I'll be able to answer without another point of view on the subject matter. But hey, what kind of blogger would I be if I did'nt try ro answer.

It is impossible to answer the question, above, of what created the SW universe, without making some sort of reference to religion. So if the force is life, how could it create life in the first place, especially without having any life to support it in the first place? My answer is simple. Some sort of higher being created the force to support the universe that it created. This would explain alot. But seeing as GL never made (to my knoledge) the comment that there was a deity higher than the force. So unfortunately, the question goes unanswered.

Yet another question about the force is; what are midichlorians. Oh, a really easy question to answer. Midiclorians (according to the account given by Qui Gon) are microscopic life forms that live inside our cells. They talk to us and give us knowledge of the force. "Without them, life would not exist adn we would have no knowledg of the Force." I think that I just answered two questions in one explanation. Midichlorians make up the force. But they are living things, so who, or what, created them? We may never have an explanation, seeing as the supernatural is beyond our intelligence to grasp. Especially the concept of God.

Okay, to get back on subject. Another question about the force is quite simple; why does the force have two sides? The answer(in my opinion) is that there are'nt two sides of the Force. The Force is an energy field, a field that people with higher midichlorian count can access on a regular basis. So if you look at it this way, the Force is no more than a basin of unlimited energy that one can tap.

Before I have a question relating to the answer I gave above, I will state it. If the Force is nothing more than a basin of unlimited energy, than how can it become unbalanced? Again easy for me to answer (with my own thoughts). If one looks at the Force as a basin, or keg, that can be tapped one gets another look at things. For example. If you tap a keg in the top, liquid pours out of it. Now tap that same keg in the bottom, and liquid also pours out. Now, let me speculat that the bottom tap is the Dark side, and the top is the Light. After constant usem the Light side would quikly start to use its' portion, whereas the Dark side users would have alot more energy. Eventually there would be enough taken from the top tap (light side) that its ability to get liquid from the keg would be greatly decreased. This example also explains why the Jedi could not sense the Sith presence, even at such close proximity.

I hope this blog proves useful. If you have a question, additon, or remark of anykind, please place it in the comments lox below.
