I can't wait! My relationship with the EU is sort of on again, off again. There is just SO MUCH, I dont' have the time, energy, nor greenbacks to keep up with it all. I got the Young Jedi Knights books, determined to keep up with Jacen and Jaina but, after that, it just all came so fast! I completely missed the NJO, but I really think I'm going to try and keep up with the Legacy Series. Thanks for the date posts!

P.S. on a more nosy/professional note, Ms. Rostoni, how does one "apply" to write short fiction/comics for LucasFilm? Do you just have to get noticed, or is there some way you can make yourself known. I actually am a published author - though I seriously doubt you'll actually ever see the book anywhere in the known universe Just a question, though, and I hope you forgive my directness

I don't work for Lucasfilm, but this is a common enough question that I can answer it with confidence, if you don't mind...
You just have to get noticed. It's invitation-only - they aren't even allowed to read submissions (the one exception to this the weekly Hyperspace "What's the Story" contest where any Hyperspace member can submit a short backstory for a certain movie character, vehicle, etc.). Being published is probably a good start though!

Wow. Maybe the fact that it's six-thirty in the morning (as in, I haven't gone to bed yet) has something to do with it, but that sentence sounds incredibly intriguing. If I wasn't already planning on reading these books since before they were even announced, I would be now.

Thanks for the comment re: writing for us, Rainbow. I should have a set paragraph I can just cut and paste....
As soon as the rest of Aaron's manuscript comes in, I'll find some tasty lines to post. I know the books are a long way off... but I sure appreciate your hanging in here with us. They are going to rock.

I think its great to have every now and then some little hints dropped about the upcoming LOTF books by you in the forums, your blog or on SW.com, it certainly makes the wait easier.

You're welcome.
Thanks for the comment re: writing for us, Rainbow.
No problem.
I should have a set paragraph I can just cut and paste....
That's not a bad idea.

I can only imagine. Do you think this major occurence is so "incendiary" that there might be risk of word spreading before most of us even get a chance to read about it? I just remember that happening with Chewie's death....

Knowing authors, it'll be so un-expected that everyone won't be suprised at all when it happens.
