Jacen gave him an innocent look. "It's true from a certain point of view. He does practice with it."

Zekk hopefully not for Jaina..
lots of cool returning characters, yeah! wedge's kids, tycho etc.
but I feel like many I like are missing.. well, we will wait and see

...And your inner need to share is very, very cruel, indeed!! I can't wait for this series to start. It is gonna ROCK! Now, I'm guessing you are leaving some of the characters out of the list because you want to torture us, right? So why is Luke no longer referenced as "Grand" Master jedi, as in Swarm War? Did he lower his rank or what? Thanks for the spoilers...I've got a good feeling where this series will be going. Especially after finishing Dark Nest series. Keep em coming...I want more!!

This is cruel and unusual punishment  , but I'm not going to complain anymore; this will keep me satisfied until March when the excerpt is out in Triple Zero. This also makes me guess what could be coming next once again; I stopped speculating about a day ago

Why Zekk? Why does he have to be there? I can't see any other reason other than him hovering around Jaina. Can't you see how popular the Jaina/Jag pairing is? Can't you see how many people have been waiting since the TUF for them to get together? And how we had our hopes dashed with the Dark Nest trilogy, but still had a little glimmer of hope for Legacy? Can't you see how many people LOVE Jag?!
As a hardcore Jaina/Jag fan, I was instantly crushed to see that they had not stayed together when I read The Joiner King, but I kept hope. I still had hope, until I saw that Jag wasn't on the DP of Betrayal.
What makes Zekk so much better than Jag? AUGH!!! Bring Jag back! I'm dying here!!!

wow that sounds great. I loved seeing some of the interesting species that were training at the Jedi Academy in The Joiner King such as a Squib, Defel and Kitonak and this is even better with Bothan, Falleen and Omwati Jedi Knights being in LOTFI: Betrayal. It's good to see the Jedi Order with some unusual species in it.

Just out of curiosity, when are we gonna get a Noghri/Vong Jedi? And will Omas remain the jerk he suddenly transformed into for Dark Nest? Is it too late to replace Admiral Klauskin with Admiral Rogriss? And when do we get to meet the army of Thrawn clones? Come on people, how dumb would he have to be to have just one?!
Oh, and if Jaina ends up with Zekk, I will not buy any more Star Wars books. Instead, I will steal them from the publishers and scan them onto the internet, thus hurting your profit margins in a full 3 ways. Totally her and Jag. Jacen and Danni were a totally different situation.
And how do the authors come up with names?

well theoretically tenel ka should be in lotf if not the first book but at some point. after all her and jacen have a daughter so it would only be right for her to be in it at some point. as well as the two of them being together they do love each other after all.

As much as I like Jag, give Zekk a chance. Let him have his time with Jaina or find him a new Love interest. As for the book, I'm looking forward to WHY Wedge sides with Sal-Solo vs the GFFA. Can't wait!

Or maybe I WISHED he was dead... Maybe Jacen can do something about that in Betrayal...
Oh, and I agree. Jaina and Jag are meant for each other. Just the simple fact that they were trying to kill each other in DARK NEST confirms it. Look at Luke and Mara.

Am I the only person who doesn't like Jag? I don't like Zekk either - the whole Jedi getting it on with fellow Jedi is getting a bit boring now. Thats why I liked Quinlan Vos and Khaleen - Jedi and hooker together forever - brilliant.
I'm glad Tarfang and Tae Juun aren't in it.

I just finished Dark Nest today so I'm bummed to see no Saba Sebatyne.
I liked Jae Juun and Tarfang! I hope those two show up more often. I never realized how much I wanted to read about an Ewok who cussed every other word until I did.
I hope we see more of Tenel Ka and Alanna.

How come some of the names like Ben Skywalker don't have Jedi Apprentice or some other "occupation" by them? BTW, how old is Ben at this time? I think Anakin Solo and the twins were apprentices in the Jedi academy pretty early.
BTW, just have to ask: are Jaina and Zekk back to normal in this series, 'cause if they aren't I'll be hard pressed to buy into the series (DN trilogy did some serious character bashing IMHO).

Ben isn't an official apprentice and he doesn't have any kind of a title. He's been rather slow to accept his Force potential and hasn't chosen to enter formal Jedi training. He's 13 at the beginning of BETRAYAL.
Yes, Jaina and Zekk are pretty much back to normal, the joiner connection is no longer there. Now they have just the Jedi connection, maybe a little stronger with each other than with other Jedi, but not as strong as the connection between siblings or siblings and parents.
