Don't Read This!!!!!!
Seriously.

If you have not read BETRAYAL or BLOODLINES, just move on to another blog.... don't read this one.

Below is a timeline of the major events that occur in BETRAYAL and BLOODLINES, counting the start of BETRAYAL as Day 1.

In the overall extended universe timeline, BETRAYAL begins approximately 4 months into year 40 ABY (based on a 12-month/368-day calendar). Please don't use this space to debate 10 month vs 12 month calendars. If you want to ignore months, consider BETRAYAL beginning something like 122 days into year 40 ABY.

So.....

Here it is, posted by popular demand!

BETRAYAL BEGINS

Day 1: Jacen and Ben inspect the Dammant Killers company on Adumar.

Ways to get people to read a blog:

1. Give it the title, "Don't Read This!!!!!!"

This may be the wrong place to ask, but I'll do it anyways:

For the giving Jacen Solo a Sith name contest, I submitted a name. Just a name, nothing more. Should I have typed why I chose that name and what it means? Because it says that names will be chosen "for thier originality and creativity." It's kind of hard to explain that if there is only space for the name. I would have liked to send a paragraph explaining the name I created.

I'm not complaining, I just want to make sure I did the correct thing. Since you are an editor I thought you might be person worth asking.:D

And I would like to thank you for giving the go ahead to the recent "Dark Times" issue. It said in the Insider that you read it and "gulped hard." So it must be pretty grim, eh? The New Jedi Order was pretty grim so that makes me wonder. I look forward to reading it.

Again thank you. I believe that in this era of SW stories that it needs to be dark. Rick McCallum has said numerous times that the live-action TV show will be "dark and gritty." It will be interesting to see if this new comic series sets the tone for the show or ties in somehow.

Bith Son, you did the right thing. Just the name is fine and all they're asking for.

I doubt the Dark Times comic will set the tone for the TV show -- they aren't really related. I just saw the colored pages for the first issue of Dark Times and am very, very impressed.

Interesting. If my math is right at 2:30 AM, both books take place over the course of 24 days. Thanks for the breakdown, Sue. Counting the days till Tempest!

He means everybody in here...teehee.

Thanks Sue for posting a cheat sheet of the facts of Legacy, nothing but the facts, so help the Force.

The only thing I will add is that I'm disappointed with the way Luke's character is being written. I understand the theory of wanting to add more characters to the EU, but for me, Luke, Leia and Han represent Star Wars. I'm an old timer and letting go of these characters is heart wrenching!! That being said, I do like Ben's character and hope he turns out like his father...I need a Jedi hero, please!!

Just curious, but is there a reason the books start 4 months into the year? Or will this become clear as we get further into the series?

Okay, so the year-and-month date everything begins, according to the ReSynchronized date system from the HoloNet News articles, is 75:4. And we know how many days into the year Betrayal starts: about 122 days. There's one small problem: I don't know how many days there are in any month, whether it's the first, fourth, or other. So I can't count 122 days into the year to get the exact calendar day the series starts. If I divide 368 by 12, you get 30.666666666666666666666666666667, so there may be thirty days in each month. In simpler terms, Betrayal begins on 75:4:??. It's nitpicky, I know, and I appreciate what you've already done here. But can that small question be cleared up?

I need a Jedi hero, please!!

After reading Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, I'm going to have to disagree with this. I can't wait to see what kind of Sith Jacen will become. Sometimes bad guys can be heroes too. Remember: "There are heroes on both sides."
