Fairy tales really do come true....kinda.

Conspiracy Theory
I am beginning to think the Developers of Star Wars Galaxies are not against the devotees of Pre-CU. Quite the opposite. From the recent "Improvements/Additions" to SWG, it appears the powers that be are working in favor of destroying the NGE.

Jeff Freeman. Currently the target for blame in most NGE related topics. Maybe the NGE wasn't a choice. Upper management says go, you have no choice but, someone with the power of Freeman could set the NGE on a course destine for disaster. That course could have been intentionally plotted.

Helios. Creator of Worlds, destroyer of worlds. This Developer stopped the world so he could get off but not before he implemented a few improvements, which left the SWG community screaming for reverts.

Blixtev, our new beloved Saint sides with the players. (however few they may be) Defensive and far from shy about his intentions, he may very well be Star Wars Galaxies Veteran players Saint. The most recent Chapter, touted as bug free, turned the Trader and Entertainers world into an XP mess. Traders and Entertainers were given combat levels along with the same required experience as combat characters to gain skills. Basically this means more than obscene grinding in order to promote a character along his chosen Trader/Entertainer profession. Not to fear. Chapter 5.1 was implemented to quickly appease the players.

Chapter 5.1. Ahh...now all is well, or is it? Characters jumped levels. Experience meters for Traders read in the negative numbers. Fix the toilet, break the sink.

Thunderheart, Star Wars Galaxies Customer Relations, (and one of the few on the SWG team I personally admire) informed players Station Access rates will increase by 20%. Ouch. He follows up with a teaser to keep those fingers away from the cancellation button, (if only for a day) with the announcement of a Producer Letter and Chapter 6 outline ready for post next business day.

What if, the Developers and Star Wars Galaxies team, from the implementation of the NGE, have been planting bugs? Perhaps they dislike the NGE as much as the players. Perhaps sabotaging publishes is a viable means to the end of the NGE.

Perhaps I am the iconic Leia searching for hope in a galaxy far, far away. Perhaps not. One thing is certain, the saga of Star Wars Galaxies is becoming one of the greatest stories ever told.
