They're Only Toys...
We hardcore fans will try and include every single little bit of information into the overall Star Wars timeline, and I'm very supportive of this particular church (hence my attempts to integrate such neglected, semi-apocryphal sources as Yoda Stoires and Droidworks back into the timeline). But is there such a thing as taking it too far? When people are speculating about putting adverts or Happy Meal figurines or the Jar Jar Binks colouring book, or other unexpected sources into the canon, is that just plain stupid? "They're only toys," you might say, "they don't affect anything..."

To the contrary! I think that pillaging through the lines of toys is a great idea for adding diversity to the universe. Look at the "Clone Attack on Coruscant" battle pack, for one. What does it tell us? That Bacara (or a Bacara-a-like) were present at the Battle of Coruscant? Perhaps they were there at the attack earlier in the war, chronicled in The Battle of Coruscant game? (This would make more sense, depending on where Mygeeto gets tossed in the timeline). It's just a little thing, but a nod to this would be a great little touch. Things like the Stealth Trooper and the Covert Ops Trooper are just crying to be used somewhere! Desert Crawler Landspeeder - maybe we could see this in a comic, or a game? Or even referenced in an article of somesort (much like Boba Fett's rocket pack was given a nod in the History of the Mandalorians). Things like the Cruisemissile Trooper, the black ARC-170 pilot, the various Clone Trooper Commander repaints Hasbro have been doing - these things could remain "just toys", or be integrated further into the canon in some form. I'm hoping for the latter.
