Very quickly, allow me to introduce myself and the concept of this particular Hyperspace Blog.
First, my name is Nathan P. Butler. I maintain this blog, and, yes, I'm that same Nathan P. Butler who brought back Kyle Katarn in SW Tales #21 back in October 2004. My main claim to fandom fame (or infamy), though, is through various fan projects I have worked on. The first was the Star Wars Timeline Project (now the
Star Wars Timeline Gold, or SWT-G).
In recent years, I have also taken on fan audio, acting both as a creator and patron for that particular genre. To date, I've written seven completed audio dramas (one feature length, five short audio dramas in an ongoing series, one serialized drama, and one multi-path "choose your own adventure" style drama), and I continue to host my own fan-made SW internet radio show, ChronoRadio.
All of that eventually led me to create
Star Wars Fanworks: The Home of Star Wars Fan Audio, a sort of "TFN Fan Films" for fan audio.
What I'd like to do here is toss in a few thoughts now and then on the state of the genre, new projects, and progress on various productions from Rayzur's Edge Audio (my production banner). As I try to keep reviews off of the Fanworks site since I'm the guy running the show, perhaps I'll even toss a few reviews in here as well.
