NPB Takes on TFU (Soon) and TCW (Now . . . and Soon)
For those following my fan audio and timelining activities, regarding The Force Unleashed and The Clone Wars:

You'll be seeing the TFU summary in the next edition of The Star Wars Timeline Gold, which is slated for late October (so on its 11th Anniversary, October 17, or shortly thereafter). I'll be doing another merged summary, sort of like the way Shadows of the Empire worked.

In theory, that means that you'll get one long summary, touching on information as presented in each format of the story, but then you'll see title listings that break down the game, comic, and novel by chapters (or levels), so that you can see how they intertwine. (Given that the comic was one TPB, though, rather than individual issues, that part will not be quite as detailed as the levels and novel chapters.)

Sometime between now and the end of September (give or take), you should be seeing a new ChronoRadio: Series 2 episode of my podcast, The Butlerniverse. I am not 100% sure yet whether I will be releasing on episode with feedback and other comments from the previous episode and then an episode about TFU, or if I will do the TFU episode and include feedback from the previous episode in that one. Either way, there will be an episode featuring TFU.

In that episode, you can expect a spoiler-filled discussion of the story, how it was presented in other formats, some behind the scenes thoughts (based on information from the webdocs and behind the scenes book), and a gameplay and feature discussion regarding the three different styles of games, as presented by the three companies (LucasArts for PS3 and Xbox 360; Krome for Wii, PSP, and PS2; and n-Space for Nintendo DS). I will be utilizing at least the PS3, Wii, and DS versions for this review/discussion, and I may (depending on my credit at the game store, frankly) also use the PS2 version for analysis. (Sadly, I won't have access to an Xbox 360 or PSP, though that only means that I can't touch on multiplayer for PSP/DS and the PSP's historical missions).

Further, if you listen to Star Wars Action News, I will be one of several people reviewing TFU for an episode in late September. To my knowledge right now, I'll be reviewing the Nintendo Wii version for the show.

It is also possible that I may also end up on the EUCast to discuss the game, depending upon which versions of the game the EUC team is able to play and whatnot.

You can also, by the way, expect new episodes of ChronoRadio: Series 2 to come much more frequently, starting in October, as I intend to provide weekly episodes to reflect upon each new episode of The Clone Wars. (You can see the latest episode of The Butlerniverse, which was the ChronoRadio: Series 2 subseries premiere, to hear my thoughts on The Clone Wars.)

As for episodes of TCW showing up on the SWT-G, they will be added as aired, so expect all recent episodes to show up in any new SWT-G releases.

You will also soon be able to check out another new style of Butlerniverse episode, as we begin a snarky, tongue-in-cheek, parody style podcast subseries, entitled Sith Eye.

Update: I have just confirmed with Andrew from the EUCast that I'll be reviewing the Nintendo DS version for that show. My review of the Wii version for SWAN will also now include a review of the comic.
