Summer Movies, Your Opinion
Since it is that time of year, and unfortunately there are no Star Wars movies, shows, or even video games coming out until next year, I want to get some of your opinions on the movies that have come out so far. Are there any movies your looking forward to seeing? Anyhing surprise you on the rental shelf, or online list?

If we weren't summer movie fans then we never would have been introduced that galaxy far far away.

Honestly, I think so far it's been a wash. Spider-Man 3 and Pirates 3 were both over-long, depressing messes with no lift or wonder to them. I passed on Shrek, since I didn't like the first one. Fantastic Four was okay, if only because it was a nice contrast to Spidey and Pirates. It was blessedly short and fun. It looks like Transformers might be a good mix -- the summer movie that remembers to be a good time.

Spider Man 3 was ok. The second one was better.

Pirates 3 -- the special effects were cool, naturall because ILM worked on them.
The story for me was entertaining. You may or may not like it. Wait for the DVD.

Shrek was dumb. They should have quite while they were ahead.

I'm waiting for Live Free or Die Hard-- from what I've seen on the internet it looks good.
Transformers also looks like it could be good.

Same here nothing has jumped out as the cool movie to see so far. I liked Pirates 3 and Fantastic Four 2, but there things I didn't like about them too. Looking forward to Transformers even though I already know some people will whine about Megatron. I personally didn't remember what he looked like until someone told me the difference.

I didn't get to see Pirates or Spiderman 3 yet, which I want to.

I saw Fantastic Four. Parts of it were enjoyable, but as a whole, it was really just bad sci-fi. It was basically Star Wars mixed with a really bad episode of Star Trek. But it was enjoyable anyway.

I'm looking forward to Die Hard, Transformers, and Harry Potter when those come out.

I saw Spiderman 3 about two months ago, but I was really dissapointed with it. I haven't seen Pirates 3 yet, but I might see Transformers at some point. It looks like it could be kinda cool.

Transformers looks cool, and I gotta see the Simpsons. I saw Spidey 3 and Pirates 3 they were ok but nowhere near as good as the movies before them. Pirates 1 is still the best one. Spidey 1 and 2 are ok, better than 3. Shrek 3 well... the kids liked it but they are 4 and 5 so thats all Ill say about that one. In the end so far Ghost rider and Wild Hogs are the 2 more enjoyable movies Ive seen this year so far. But in the end I am more looking forward to the new Star Wars books coming out this year than any movie due to come.

300 has been the best movie I've seen this year, although I gather it was released in December of last year in the USA (April here).

Spidey 3 and Pirates 3 were ok but huge disappointments for me.

Shooter was good, well, the best sniper film I've seen anyway, although there was too much of the "JackBauer/McGuyver" in Bob Lee Swagger for my liking.

I'm going to pass on Shrek but I will definitely go and see Fantastic 4, Die Hard, Transformers and of course, Order of the Phoenix, those 4 films are a must-see for me.

I saw PoTC 3, I liked it a lot, but I like the 2nd better. Spider Man 3 was to predictable and did a bad job with Venom. The fight scenes were okay. I wanna see FF2, Transformers, and Harry Potter of course.

Waitress was far more involving than I thought it would be. Gets my vote.
