Preparing for the Clone Wars
I just noticed that there is a Star Wars film coming out this August 15th called Star Wars: The Clone Wars and would you believe it; It's animated!
What you just read is the common public response you will be seeing in about a month's time. I, on the other hand, know better than to make a comment like that. I am extremely excited to see the Clone Wars preview this weekend at the Disney SWW event. I am glad that Lucasfilm is taking the franchise into new territory with cutting edge animation and developing classic characters while introducing bold new characters at the same time. We, as fanboys and fangirls, are embarking on a new Star Wars platform, feature animation. I wonder if we will embrace this new format of a classic or dismiss it as a passing fancy. Will there be a line this time? Or will we just go as we please to see this new incarnation of Star Wars? Where will you be when the clock strikes midnight on August 14th?

I will be at the theater counting down the seconds! I think The Clone Wars is going to be amazing! I hope every other star wars fan will be there too...I became a fan after all 6 episodes were already out and I thought I had missed all the excitment of the movie premiers. Then I heard about the new movie and am soooo excited to wait in line with so many other fellow fans! At least I hope it will belike that...

I unfortunately have to be back at college on Aug. 15, so I'm not exactly sure how seeing the movie'll fit into my schedule. I'll put in every effort possible to see it that day, but I doubt I'll get a chance to stand in line with other fans.

Me too. I dunno if I'll be there at midnight, but definately on the opening day.

It's going to kick butt. I got to see a sneak peek at some of the shots on a theater screen and they are AMAZING! This is the 1st episode for the new Clone Wars Animated Series that will be on TV soon after (i hope) this one hits theaters. Even my old boss at my old job wants to go see this with me.

Where will you be when the clock strikes midnight on August 14th?

I'll be at the Cine-Capri theater in costume with friends from the Rebel Legion... even if the movie stinks, we'll have a fun time! :D

I'll be at the Colloseum (not the one in Rome, but the biggest theater in Norway), with center seats and popcorn :)

I saw a full clip of a fight along a cliff side from the film at Disney Star Wars Weekends this past weekend and it looked fantastic. I spoke with Steve Sansweet after the presentation and he seemed extremely excited for the film as well as the television show to follow.
