Great list. I'm not sure if it's been done before. I don't go into the blog archives much. Anyhow, my list would have placed Obi-wan vs. Vader higher. I do like your other choices. Good job!!

Errr, because you're under the age of 16?
I couldn't possible pick 10 decent moments from the movie, but I can just about make 3, they are:
3. End credits.
2. Teaser Trailer.
1. "Master Vos has moved his troops to Boz Pity."

I do like your list of best moments, however one small scene that i found extremely powerful, that i don't think anyone else has spotted.
Its the scene just after Padme's funeral, where you hear the screech of Tie Fighters and seeing Darth Vader walk down the bridge to join Sideous and Tarkin, watching the Death Star constructed.
I felt this was an imensly moving scene, coupled with the sad music, made for a powerful moment in ROTS.
Also possibly seeing Darth Vader's head mask close on him for the first time, and hearing his first breaths, with a powerful heart-beat in the background was an exceptional moment.
Anyone else agree?

This is THE BEST SCENE IN THE MOVIE, and is one of the best of the saga, making it one of the best scenes of all time. Far more powerful than Darth Vader becoming Darth Vader.
The music is ridiculously good in that scene. But they did not include it in the music cd

Yes, I completly agree. When I saw ROTS, I had not seen the others, and a friend took me (actually forced me) along with her. THAT SCENE MADE ME CRY, in the previous scene, Vader vs. Anakin, I was breathing along with him, and when the mask was placed over his charred face, and the infamous breathing started, I realized I was doing the same. I got goosebumps, and then came the Death Star/ Padme's funeral and I just started to tear up. LIFE CHANGING MOMENT!!! Anyway, here is my list.

GOOD BLOG!
My favourite movie is also ROTS, I love the DRAMA and always hope for Anakin not to turn. I am 33 and I saw the old movies and I can tell you that ROTS is so powerful that I am shocked how often I saw the movie by now. Above all scenes, the biggest one is when Anakin is in the spire of the Jedi temple and realizes that he must turn in order to save Padme. When he heres Sidious´voice : " YOU DO KNOW DON'T YOU? IF THE JEDI DESTROY ME ANY CHANCE OF SAVING HER WILL BE LOST"!
anakin had to do something, he promised at his mothers grave in AOTC
Besides my

Here's another fan over 16 who loves ROTS (I'm 32)
The first half hour or so of ROTS is amazing--from the battle/ballet to the crash landing. Just takes my breath away! And the speed at which Anakin and Obi wan fight at the end is stunning.
Does anyone else get a chuckle when Sideous is swinging from the senate pod, squealing with laughter? He's having entirely too much fun.

We love all of the Star Wars movies!
Although we love the action scenes, our favorite scene would probably be the celebration at the end of Return Of The Jedi, because after all the tragedy that has happened, everything ends up so happy and peaceful.
We also love anything that has to do with The Skywalker Family and as you can tell by our avatar Yoda is our favorite character!

ROTS is probably my favorite of the Star Wars movies, but I also love ESB. My favorite scene from episode 3 is probably the twin sunset scene where Obi-Wan takes baby Luke to Tatooine. That scene is so powerful, and it always makes me cry.

Sorry about that last post.
Anyway, my favorite scene of ROTS has to be the scene in which the Death Star is being constructed and Vader walks along the bridge of the Star Destroyer. Such a powerful scene.
I really can't choose a whole list, though, because this isn't my favorite movie. I absolutely love ESB. Anyone out there agree with me. GL made a brilliant decision to have IK take the ropes for this film. Absolutely brilliant!
Peace

I really prefer ROTJ, but thats just me. My fav moment in ROTS, though, has to be when Sidious and Mace battle it out. Mace was my favorite character, and I cried when he got pushed out that window.

I have to agree with Rogueish here, and say that the end credits are the best. I may be under 16, but I am what you 21st century kids call "Old school". I was sorely dissapointed with episode three, as it completely deviated from what the Original Trilogy was like. The New Trilogy was all about special effects, and the acting was very poor. Of the OT, though, Episode I had the best plot, contrary to everyone elses opinions. Episode III was a dissapointment in the entirety, but with a few exceptions. There were some moments, but were only moments. The OT rules, man! (Oh, and what happened to "Groovy"? That's one of the coolest slang-words ever!!!!)

I have to agree with lego 732. The New Trilogy was quite disappointing. The acting was very poor, although I did think that Liam Neeson did a fine job as Qui-Gon and Ewan McGregor was well cast as Ben. I am 16 but I grew up (not as much as some of you more experienced and knowledgable in the Force, mind you) with the OT and still must say that it is the best.

In response to indy, ESB (in my humble opinion) had the best plot and the acting was far superior to any other Star Wars film. The story was absolutely amazing and Kirshner went above and beyond what I would have expected a story of this magnitude to be like. Yes, I will admit that ANH and ROTJ were excellent films and should not be put in a negative light, but if you were to really dissect the films, I think that you would find that ESB is by far the finest Star Wars movie ever created.
Peace
