Building The Falcon!
Well, for a few weeks now I've been trying to think of a good blog topic, then today I suddenly realised that one was sitting on my desk the whole time! The model kit of the Millenium Falcon that my parents bought me for Christmas!

I then realised that not only would it make a great blog entry, but a series... So over the next few days ( or weeks, or months:p) I'll be posting progress reports on the building of everyones favourite pirate ship! With pictures!!!

So without further ado, I bring you :

Building The Millenium Falcon - Day 1

I guess really I should start at the begining, so heres a nice picture of the box the kit came in.

Now, I had actualy started the model before realising it's potential as a blogging subject. So, in the first picture of The Falcon herself, she's already partially built. just the landing legs and the ramp though, still plenty left to do. Here she is from a differant angle

And now we come to today's work,

Todays construction work actualy started with a bit of de-construction. Cutting out the door way of the cockpit, which was originally was just a recess in the plastic.
I then proceeded to cut and paint a bit of plastic for use as flooring in the corridor (sorry the pictures a little blurry:) )
The reason for these modifications will become apparent later (Hey, I've got to find someway of getting you to come back :D )

After cutting and painting, I went back to what's actualy in the instruction book.
According to the instructions I'm supposed to stick bits around the sides with all the detailing of the escape pods and other little sticky out bits.
So that's what I did

And that's where I'll leave it for now.

Don't miss tomorrow when I'll be sorting out my own customisation to The Millenium Falcon.

See you tomorrow! :p

Part II is here!!!!
