Mark, Bex, Louis and Pauls ExCel-lent Adventure
Wow, is it over already?

It's been a few days since the doors closed and we packed stand D-74 away, but the memories are embossed into my mind. There are so many cool moments, too many to mention here. But, as I scrawl through notes of what we got up to, there are a few magic moments that stick out.

- Interviewing Billy Dee Williams (even though he was so tired after a long flight without sleep I thought he might pass out)
- Meeting and interviewing Stephen Sansweet and hanging out with his awesome gang Rojo and Lori.
- Chris Rider, the guy on the stand next to us who donated so much towards our charity drive (enjoy Mexico mate)
- Gerald Home, who signed at the Lightsabre stand for 2 days, 8 hours each day and donated half his takings to our Cancer Research UK fund. What a brilliant guy he is, and I'm proud to call him a friend.
- Dave Prowse donating photo's to our next fund raiser because he liked what we wre doing
- Hanging out at the Upper Deck at the Novotel with...EVERYBODY!
- Joe Corroney, what an amazing guy, me and Bex hope to meet up with him again
- The brilliant and so professionally executed Palitoy archive. Well done Dave, you deserve a huge pat on the back for that.
- The organisers, excellent people who worked well under pressure and came through for us in particular when we thought we'd have a big problem
- The gang at Jedi News, Norwich and District and all the stands around us, including Incognito.
- Meeting Neil Baker, Jedi Iain Armstrong and all the other brilliant fellow fans over the weekend.
- The artists in the artists alley, with their fantastic and exclusive CE artworks.
- Being told that Lucasfilm like our site.
- Seeing my wife and the fantastic Bonnie Burton get on so brilliantly (and Bex being told she had a cute a**!)
- Larry Noble, a true gent and we can't wait to interview you.
- The Force Unleashed. In a word - WOW!

But moment of the convention must go to

The Battle of the Bridge.

Just ask anyone who was there at the Waterfront Bar and they'll tell you all about it. A fan organised ten minutes of sheer brilliance that will be long remembered.

Damn, I miss it already. I didn't see a single show or get a single autograph, but I met so many brilliant people. Don Bies, Steve Anderson, my friend Danny Wagner to name but a few. Apparently Simon Pegg was there, and John Singh from LFL but we missed each other.
Well done LFL and Cards Inc, especially Barry Eldridge (enjoy the holiday, you so deserve it), and see you at the next one.

Celebration Europe was a most excellent gathering of finest scum, villiany, and monsters in the galaxy...

Mark, Bex, and Louis were great hosts for all the Yanks in the Dockyards.

It was a great show.. in a great city..

Cheers London!

Sounds like you had a helluva time -- and still managed to do all that good charity work! Mightily impressive job, and kudos on snagging all those top-notch folks for interviews. I'm especially looking forward to the Larry Noble interview, he was a real gent at CIV.

Glad it was a great time for you. Wish I were there too. The Battle of the Bridge - someone posted some mediocre footage on youtube, of which I don't believe captures the essence and grandeur of actually being there, but hey, I'll take what I can get. ;)

I posted that video on another blog of mine here.

It was the coolest weekend I've had in a long time. Well done to everyone especially those who helped raise money for charity.

It was an honour to meet you guys, and thanks again for the hard work the lightsabre team put in - you all raised a lot of money and for that you should be commended!
This is what the Star Wars community is all about - as Charlie Ross so succinctly puts it, it's all about celebrating the love :)
BTW - that bridge fight is the greatest thing I have ever seeen outside of the movies :^O
