Well...ahem...I found this site from somewhere... *cough* and ummm...it shows what people were saying in 1983 after they saw ROTJ. It's very interesting, so I thought I might share it with you guys. Before seeing this site, I didn't even know the internet existed in the 1980's. Well, here it is:

Some of their opinions are interesting to read, for example: After seeing "Return of the Jedi" Wednesday, I was left with
a question. I'm pretty sure that Episodes I, II, and II will be
about Anakin (Darth Vader) Skywalker and how he was drawn to the
Dark Side of the force (what is the offer he couldn't refuse?).
But, what will Episodes VII, VIII, and IX be about? Will the
Empire rise into power once more, lead by a sinister, new leader?
Or will a new enemy terrorize the galaxy? .
