Marathon: What I Notice (Ep. I)
As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm enjoying a Star Wars Marathon all day today, watching all six movies in order.

I wasn't planning on doing this, but I took out the laptop and took notes during Episode I. Here are my observations. (And excuse my somewhat choppy note-taking. :))

- Different battle droids have different personalities... but in Episode III they're really different
- The fake "Queen" sent the real Queen to clear up a dirty droid, haha, hard labor, eh? And why was R2-D2 dirty in the first place? Is Naboo space muddy?
- Qui-Gon didn't want to bring Padme along on Tatooine; had she remained behind, Anakin & Padme would never have befriended each other, and the galaxy might be a much better place
- Is that Quinlan Vos, right after Jar Jar picks a fight with a Dug?
- Watch Shmi looking around bewilderedly as quite the characters suddenly
- Qui-Gon's pretty well-travelled
- I love the probe droids :D
- Both Anakin and Luke sell their vehicles before leaving Tatooine
- Are those pills on the table when Anakin's cold on starship?
- Anakin leading Jar Jar away outside Palpatine's 500 Republica (?) office; "come on, I'm bored, let's go play with the turbolifts something" :)
- Ki-Adi-Mundi is crossing legs during Council session, like Obi-Wan crosses his legs, in same seat, in another meeting on Anakin's Jedi status
- Many things don't go Palpatine's way; his plan has a dozen chances to succeed
- Similarly, there are a dozen chances to avoid Anakin's fall
- Haha, Captain Panaka, "More likely they [the Gungans] were wiped out."
- Some Gungans were fighting hand-to-hand during Battle of Naboo, trying to wrestle away their guns, punching them, etc.
- The Star Wars movies definitely "grow up"; killing is kind of de-emphasized at beginning (nonlethal weapons etc.); not so much at end
- TPM Special Edition: digital doubles for Jedi at end

I'm currently watching Episode II. "Excuse me... I'm in charge of security here, m'lady." Take advantage of her knowledge in this instance, buddy. Notes for it are forthcoming.
