Marathon: What I Notice (Ep. II)
Continuing the trend, here are my (fairly rough) notes from watching Episode II.

- Where'd Padme's turbo lift go in Episode III?
- Which reminds me - in the prequels there are a lot more shared environments & recurring locations than in the original trilogy
- "I'd much rather dream about Padme [rather than my mother]"; oh, you will! Be careful what you wish for, my young Jedi friend.
- "Jedi Business" - how common is it to see Jedi running about, doing crazy things? Apparently pretty common.
- Is Obi-Wan sexist? First he automatically assumes the assassin after Padme is a man; then he doesn't recognize Leia as a force to be reckoned with. That is, if she is the "other" Yoda refers to. More on that later today.
- Episode III gives me a new outlook on everything we see in the Temple, especially the younglings.
- I want one of those neat lowering egg chairs the Kaminoans have!
- AOTC Special Edition: better shaaks (or none at all)
- The aiwha coming out of the water is rather cool :)
- If Obi-Wan looks forward to seeing the clones in action, then he's looking forward to war! That's not very "Jedi"!
- "I can't breathe" - ooh, Anakin, foreshadowing!
- "I wish I could just wish away my feelings!" But you can't wish and just wish away my feelings; you wish you could just wish and wish away your feelings! (And you also wish to dream about Padme. Too much wishing!)
- I love the little Aleenas chasing the Nunas around
- Hahaha, just watch the pit droids in the background as Anakin speaks to Watto
- I have a feeling Obi-Wan knows exactly what (in the blazes) Anakin is doing on Tatooine
- Though I think few people realize it, Star Wars is really all about the quest for immortality. Anakin wants to save Shmi; then Padme; then his son. The Sith try to achieve immortality through unnatural means; the Jedi go with the flow of change, adapting, changing. At least, they learn to. Look for a whole entry on this in the near future.
- "He's like my father." That's it - Obi-Wan is Darth Plagueis!
- Anakin and Padme take C-3PO without even asking!
- Dooku claims he knows of no bounty hunter on Geonosis; maybe he was telling the truth, and only realized Jango had fled to there once Obi-Wan said so. I thought of this first jokingly, but it kind of makes sense. But more likely he's just trying to avoid giving Kenobi the impression that he wanted Padme dead.
- Are Mace & Yoda listening in on the Senate meeting from the pod-less Naboo delegation unit (since it's down in the spotlight, flying around)? I think so; you can see a docking / charging kind of plug, almost like that of a giant iPod or cell phone dock
- Did they really need to re-chop even the chopped half of Anakin's chopped-in-half lightsaber?
- Padme: "I'm not afraid to die" - there it is again, immortality & letting go of life
- I wanna see a vendor at the Geonosian arena selling little plush Acklays and Nexus and Reeks
- When the real fight begins in the arena, Anakin & the Reek are at first charging with the droids towards the Jedi; foreshadowing betrayal!
- Shot of Nute & Rune cowering as wayward shots nearly hit them reminds me off Yoda on Kashyyk in Episode III, only he's so much cooler than them :)
- The Episode II Republic troops & ships look almost "primitive" to me now compared to Episode III; I suppose that's accurate, both in-universe and outs
- AOTC Special Edition: Extended Battle of Geonosis
>> Attack on the Control Ship
>> Extended Mace vs. Jango fight
- Dooku kind of stops at the door to watch Yoda for a second; now there's one who still has good in him
- AOTC Special Edition: It'd be cool to see Republic ships chasing away the Separatist donut ships as Dooku flies off in his solar sailer
- Throughout the prequels, Obi-Wan really protects Anakin & his secret romance; I'm sure he knows. As soon as Mace brings up the question of Anakin's whereabouts, Obi-Wan seems to chance the topic awfully quickly

I'm about to go see Episode III; more notes when I come back.
