Continuing my critically acclaimed series, here are my observations from watching Episode IV.

I'm currently watching Episode V. I'll have my observations for it when I'm done.

- Regular ISDs almost have notches, too
- [Thought train of a I-VI viewer] "Hey, wait, the Tantive IV is a Republic ship, why are they shooting at it? Oh, I bet they found out about the Jedi-smuggling thing..."
- R2 knows everything, all along, and doesn't tell... haha.
- "This R2 unit as a bad motivator, look!" That's no R2 unit, Luke... guess it's just a nickname for all astros.
- "[Obi-Wan] died about the same time as your father." In a way, yes - a large part of him died.
- Alec Guinness really seems to be an older, crazier version of McGregor's Obi-Wan... Ewan did a good job.
- "Since before you were born..." "I don't remember ever owning a droid," "your father wanted you to have this when you were old enough" - quite the points of view
- R2 gets all excited after Obi-Wan says Vader killed Anakin; almost seems like he's saying "why you big fat liar!!!"
- Pretty gruesome death for poor Owen & Beru; I care more now, after ROTS
- Are Chewie & Obi reminiscing about the old Clone Wars days at the bar?
- Han surely saw Obi's little Jedi arm-chopping display. When Obi-Wan says "no Imperial entanglements," he must be thinking about Order 66 & how Obi is wanted.
- ANH Special-Special-Special Edition: Palpatine disbanding Senate
- I love the switch-flicking for the superlaser!
- ANH Special-Special-Special Edition: Bail Organa & others... well, dying.
- There's Luke's new Hasbro ANH/ROTJ Luke Skywalker color-changing blade
LucasArts (or Tiger, maybe) really needs to release a dejarik game
- Han looks impressed for a second at Luke's deflection skills
- ANH Special-Special-Special Edition: "I sense something... a presence I've not felt since I was lying limbless on the Mustafarian lava river shore burned beyond recognition..."
- Why wouldn't they have a door-close button on the inside of the turbolift? Do you always have to find a random passing officer to close it for you?
- [Thought train of a I-VI viewer: Obi-Wan vs. Vader] "Hey, look, rematch! Oops... oh, look, guess Qui-Gon was a good Master!"
- What a large explosion for such a small TIE! (The fourth, that is.)
- "It is for me, sister." People in Star Wars always call each other relatives, and they're rarely being literal, but they're always awfully close. If Luke and Han's lines were just switched right then....
- There are the Episode III-ish inside-the-turret shots.
- ANH Special-Special-Special Edition: Updated hologram displays???
- Chewie doesn't get a medal. But he has the last line!
