Marathon: What I Notice (Ep. V)
Moving on, here are things I noticed watching Episode V. You'll notice fewer items... I noticed less.

I'm about to start Return of the Jedi. I'll have full notes for that when I'm done, as well as a review of my Star Wars marathon.

- ESB Special-Special-Special Edition: Show the markers?
- I love watching the Imperial officer interactions
- Is R2 right under the walkers when the chunks of ice fall on him? I'd be interested to see a map of Echo Base and how far it extends relative to the walker's route.
- In Battlefront it's so fun to be an AT-AT, virtually invincible, just going around blowing things up.
- Hmm... AT-TEs might have been more effective here... but AT-ATs are cooler. :)
- Structurally, Empire is most similar to Episode III - big battle at the beginning, emotional saber battle at the end.
- Heh, gotta love the asteroid chase sequence... especially the pilot who goes flying out of his TIE... and the asteroid coming out of nowhere to hit him... and the nice moves exhibited by the Falcon....
- I'd like to know what that monster on Dagobah looks like, but I think it's best left out of any forthcoming special editions.
- "Like something out of a dream..." That's what a Force-enhanced memory feels like, I guess.
- Looks like both Obi-Wan and Yoda went a bit crazy while in exile.
- I like R2 looking in through the window; he probably remembers Yoda, as well as what happened to Anakin; he understands Yoda's apprehension about training Luke.
- Yoda is really training Luke to be a weapon; his teaching seems to be more physical and less about the Force itself (relative to prequel-era teaching, at least).
- Yoda's feat of lifting the X-Wing doesn't seem quite so incredible anymore, although it's still the largest object we've seen him move.
- "Old friends, long gone..." like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan
- Han keeps on alternating opinions on Lando (old friends > sure he's forgotten > old friends > not a very nice friend once he freezes you :))
- Was that an R2 unit when C-3PO went to investigate? What was it doing in there?
- "No... there is another [hope]." First time I saw ESB, thought it was Lando; now I think it's Leia, as I think most people do. But what about Anakin himself? I suppose it's possible, but Yoda and Obi-Wan seem to have given up on him.
- "Having trouble with your droid?" "No... why?" Well, 'cause he's shot to pieces, that's why... silly Han...
- In every episode but Episode I, there are some kind of binders used
- This fight is Anakin's saber versus Vader's saber, since Luke is using Anakin's. Interesting -- it's almost like a conflict within Vader....
- ESB Special-Special-Special Edition: Fix pink lightsaber
- ESB and ROTS both have a sucked-out-a-window thing
- ESB and ROTS both have a shot of the sun coming out from behind a planet. It's the opening shot in ROTS, and it's when Vader's shuttle is going to the Executor in ESB.
- Quite the cliffhanger ending
