Night Must Fall
I'm currently watching Episode VI. "Twilight is upon me... and soon, night must fall."

That's the exact point I'm at in the movie. And it's strangely appropriate. Night is coming fast, and with it, the final piece of the Star Wars saga.

That is the way of things.

When you say night, do you mean, "night" as in "it's dark out" or "night" as in the end of the world? How deeply should I read this?

Haha. Good question. However deeply you want to, I suppose. :)

I think I kind of meant it as a mix. Night was literally approaching, at least in my time zone. And I had just a few hours until I went to see Episode III for the first time, whichs marks the twilight of the Republic, the Jedi, and the Star Wars movies.

But no, I didn't think the world was about to end. :) And I'm glad, too, because it would be kind of embarassing to be all dramatic about the world ending... and then it keeps going.

And if the world ever did end, I think it would probably happen before anyone noticed. Either that, or it'd take a long time, but we'd know about it for a while. Actually, I suppose maybe neither, or both, or whatever...

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. :D

Ooh, but here's a fun fact: if the sun suddenly disappeared in some cataclysimic freak of nature, we'd feel no effect for 7 minutes or something, and then... well, we would. :) It'd get chilly, the Earth would be flung out of its orbit... stuff like that. But I wonder what we would FEEL right at that moment? Would we feel the Earth's change in direction?

And that, of course, is assuming there's no shock wave. If there was... well, we'd be in trouble. ;)
