The Next Generation
I was introduced to gaming by the SEGA Master System, though I very rarely played it. Then came N64. My brother and I got it, and we were hooked. I especially liked the Star Wars games, of course.

Then came the next generation. The Xbox arrived, a newcomer to the videogame field but not by any means automatically bad because of it. We got it, not the PS2, not the Gamecube. I couldn't be happier with our choice. Halo, PGR, Forza, Splinter Cell... and, of course, the best Star Wars lineup on any console.

Now the next generation is fast approaching. Xbox 360 is the incumbent console in my life, and the most natural choice. In the end, though, who knows which side I'll choose? PS3 is looking good, and who knows what Nintendo has in store.

If you're looking purely at past patterns, you'll notice I've never once stayed with my choice from the previous generation. SEGA, to Nintendo, to Microsoft... does that imply I'll be choosing Sony next? One can never know.

I'd hate to abandon the Xbox, though. Sony's online capabilities can't compete, and there is the "H" word.... As for LucasArts' support, it's too early to tell who they'll favor in the coming years. It ought to be interesting.
