"The Colbert Report" Greenscreen Challenge
I've only had a chance to watch the Colbert Report a few times, but every time its been great. Tonight's was particularly good thanks to it being the finale of the Greenscreen Challenge where fans had the chance to pit Colbert against all sorts of evildoers in some pretty nifty bits of editing.

The winner's entry was, of course, quite excellent, but personally I was drawn to the runner-up's. Straight from "George L" (whoever that is) from Marin County California (wherever that is) came a stunningly convincing piece depicting Colbert heroically fighting off a number of wisecracking battle droids.

And at the end, this "George L" and Colbert even had a little duel of their own... George won. :)

(Now... how long will it be until all of that hits YouTube? Hmm... UPDATE 3: Under two hours, possibly less.)

UPDATE: A few clips from the show are now online at ColbertNation.com, but the selection curiously omits George L.'s exemplary entry.

UPDATE 2: The ILM entry is now online here, and Rive Caedo spotted the whole thing on YouTube here. And sorry if I spoiled the show for anyone... I hate spoilers, but I wasn't thinking about time zones... :(:(:(
