I'm sure you Hyperspace members have been enjoying the new webstrip, Rookies by Pablo Hidalgo. (
See here for details.) For me, personally, it's very cool in that it's the very first webstrip where I haven't known the story in advance... and I'm keeping it that way. Enjoying it a little each day has a very nostalgic feeling for me... like when I used to cut out each and every strip from the paper as a kid and glue them into a notebook.
But what's happening with the third installment of the "Evasive Action" webstrip? (Sequel to "Reversal of Fortune" and "Evasive Action: Recruitment".)
First, it has a name... "Evasive Action: Prey". It's the first time I've had the story locked down before the title.
Speaking of the story, the Rookies link above has a one-paragraph plot teaser for EA:P's storyline, which you can read if you're looking for clues. Drake, Zonder and Ekria are back, as are four familiar bad guys. More on that at some future date.
The final script was approved a few weeks ago by Lucas Books editor extrordinaire,
Sue Rostoni, with fact checking and excellent advice from
Leland Chee.
Artist
Tom Hodges has been working on some breath-taking concepts for new characters and costumes for returning characters. One in particular has some good internal buzz going. Now that the script is in-hand, he's also been cranking on storyboards and even some final strips.
If all goes according to plan, the series will launch on March 6. I can't wait to share it with ya...
