Like many people, I have had a hard time buying into the notion of Padme falling in love with Anakin. I never questioned Anakin being in love with Padme. Once they were together, particularly by Revenge of the Sith, I was able to accept their relationship. But how exactly did Anakin win her over in Attack of the Clones?

Now, a lot of the cut scenes included on the DVD that go a long way to show their continually growing relationship, particularly when Padme introduces Anakin to her family. I propose there are additional deleted scenes, thought to be forever lost to us, that completely explain how Padme was finally won over by Anakin's charm.

So here they are, the ten scenes which lead to Anakin successfully wooing Padme:

1. While at Padme's home, Anakin fixes her father's stereo in record time, forever endearing him to the Naberrie family.

2. For advice, he calls up Clive Owen, who vetoes his planned "You are one hot babe" speech, resulting in his "Sand is rough" speech, which, amazingly enough, results in their first kiss.

3. Before the infamous couch scene, he suggests they watch Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman on DVD. During the scariest part, he pulls the ol' stretch-and-arm-reach around her shoulder.

4. He finally figures out how to pull a Han Solo and starts calling her "Your Highness-ness" all the time.

5. After being rejected, he hits on her equally hot handmaiden to make her jealous.

6. Padme catches Anakin skinny-dipping in the lake and likes what she sees.

7. On their way to the Lars homestead, they stop in at the Mos Eisley to find it is karaoke night, and they discover their common love for Barry White songs.

8. Anakin runs into Sebulba, who talks smack to him and Padme, and Anakin is forced to defend her honor in the unfortunately lost bar fight scene, which also features a young Greedo, who gets his eye poked out by a death stick, forever affecting his aim.

9. Anakin demonstrates his skill as a dancer in a ballroom scene that invokes Beauty and the Beast, as he and Padme are serenaded by a Styx cover band performing "Come Sail Away".

10. He proves once and for all that he, not Mace Windu, is the foot massage master.
